Scuba & Cycling. Two great sports; both have their fun and recreational aspects, but each takes place in different worlds. Both can have great health and fitness benefits, and I'm going to try to exploit that.
I am not an expert, professional, or naturally gifted in either cycling or scuba, but I'm talented enough to be considered well capable in both. I find bicycling pragmatic in many ways, beneficial for many reasons, and fun many more times than it's not. However, I find scuba diving to be incredibly awesome and extremely tranquil--but that's not to say that cycling can't be as well.
My scuba credentials: PADI:

Dry Suit Diver
Underwater Navigation
Advanced Open Water Diver
My wife and I own all our own gear, but we've only been diving for a little over a year. I have roughly 70 freshwater dives.
My cycling credentials:
I own a bike

Just kidding, but seriously, I am no pro. We gave up car ownership for bicycle ownership in early 2010 while living in the Twin Cities. It was great. We purchased a van to do some traveling late 2012, and now we live in Las Vegas, NV. The van mostly sits idle; we try to cycle wherever we can.
My hope is to become stronger and more educated in both of these great sports and share some of my insights with any interested parties. Feel free to follow along as I travel the road to fitness through two quite different sports.
